The renovation of the Hungarian Ispita in Győr has begun

The construction work on the renovation of the 17th-century monument building, which is in a dilapidated state, began in April 2025. The building used by the Rómer Flóris Museum of Art and History - within the framework of the INTERREG VI-A Hungary-Slovakia program HUSK-2302 program - will be renovated in almost a year with European Union support and co-financing.
The restoration of the building's fragmented, worn facade surfaces and interior coverings, the restoration of its sculpture niches, the replacement of the facade windows, the renovation of the electrical network, as well as the creation of a new, visitor-friendly information desk, wardrobe and washrooms, and the air conditioning of the rooms on the upper floor are planned as part of the development.
Pesti Építő Zrt., which is carrying out the construction, is expected to complete the works in February 2026, after which the renovated building of the museum will be able to welcome exhibitions and visitors again.
