Nagycenk - Wolf String 156. The dagger of a young man buried in grave

A bronze dagger and the rivets connected to it were found in the triangle of the left arm of the young man, aged 19-22, shrunk into the grave, aged 19-22, richly equipped with grave accessories and jewelry. The blade of the dagger is triangular, originally attached to the handle with four studs, with a slightly curved grip, thickened in the middle, almost 10 cm long. The special feature of the dagger with a tip facing down the dagger of the buried young man is that, according to the length of the handle, five longer metal rivets, roughly in one row from the handle, were observed during the excavation, and a smaller fragment of the wooden handle was also preserved. The dagger and the finds found in the grave date the burial to the beginning of the Middle Bronze Age in Hungary. A detailed scientific processing of the funeral in the https://doi.org/10.1556/0208.2024.00071 available via link.
