Bokréta - Szanyi values tied in a bouquet

Location: Szany, Széchenyi út 4.
A new permanent exhibition titled Bokréta - Szanyi Values Bound in a Bouquet opened in Szany on Saturday, March 29, at 3 p.m.
The exhibition, organized by the staff of the Rómer Flóris Museum of Art and History, describes local ethnographic values, as well as the history of the Szanyi Bokréta folk dance ensemble, which still brings together many locals. The local history monuments present the almost centuries-old aspirations of the preservation of tradition in Szany. We recall the former peasant lifestyle and the clothing-making at the initiative of the founder of Bokréta, Kálmán Kokas. By showing the peculiarities of the tradition in the 20th century, we remember the famous personalities who actively participated in the forging of the local community, in the collection and preservation of Szanyi values.
The exhibition was created within the framework of the Petőfi Cultural Program, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation, with the cooperation of the Hungarian National Museum of the Hungarian National Museum and the National Institute of Culture.
