“Enough of the chatter!” In memoriam András Figler (1956–2010)

This volume will be symbolically handed over to the archaeologist András Figler, our heritage defender friend, on the occasion of his 70th birthday on March 22, 2026. In reality, unfortunately, we cannot do this, as he left our circle tragically young (1956–2010).

Almost all of the book's 17 authors worked with it. During the excavation of Kajárpéci, the museum in Győr or the Óvár museum, or the regional heritage protection office he leads, at sites or finds. Some young colleagues could no longer know him personally. However, they encounter his material and intellectual legacy every day, which they think is outstanding and should be continued today. It is therefore not surprising that everyone answered yes to the presentation at the memorial meeting or offered their study later.
