During the presentation combined with the subject presentation, we will learn about the work of János Xántus (1825–1894), a Hungarian naturalist, world traveler, and ethnographic researcher. The famous researcher grew up in Győr and maintained his connection with the city throughout his life, visited home and donated valuable objects to the Benedictine Antiquities. to be presented
Special artefacts related to János Xántus, such as Henry's carbine or the landscape with a hunting company, are also included in the collection of the Rómer Museum. Stay with us and - remembering the adventurer scientist - let's raise our glass together on the day of his birth!
