Let's remember the Hungarian heroes together! – WWII cemetery walk

The Nádorváros cemetery, opened in 1912, has many tombstones related to the First World War. One of the earliest and most important moments in the design of the cemetery was the creation of the two heroic plots. Most of them were wounded or sick on the fronts, and the soldiers who died in the military hospitals in Győr are buried, but the graves of the prisoners of war who died in Győr are also here. There are several family graves in the cemetery where family members who died in the First World War were buried, these were usually reburials following the end of the war. During the cemetery walk, we will also visit some tombstones that are connected to the life of the hinterland of the war years. The walk is led by: historian-museologist Vilmos Tóth (Museum of Art and History of Rómer Flóris)
