Kobza Vajk is one of the remarkable performers of the contemporary oriental and improvisational world music scene in our country. At the intersection of the music of this formation, in addition to its own compositions, medieval and Renaissance melodies can be heard, permeated by the freedom of improvisation, the oriental soundscape of European jazz and the Middle East. At the international level, the orchestra is made special by the not at all conventional instrumentation, the only instrumental sound and the approach to music as a ritual. Their vision is to leave the genre classification behind and raise the music born in the present moment to a higher level. At the concert, Kobza Vajk also draws from his previous records, while the first notes of the upcoming songs will be played here for the first time. Their performance is a conscious, unique journey into the unknown as an acquaintance. Listening to their program, Ada Kaleh - the sunken Al-Danube island - comes to life again, rising from the foam again. The band's new line-up and their unique, new show were presented in Budapest at the House of Hungarian Music in the fall of 2024.
