The chamber exhibition has taken us back to happy times of peace. For the 20th-century man burdened with wars and national tragedies, the turn of the century was almost exalted to a golden age. Not by chance. During the decades of dualism - until the First World War - peace and development greeted Hungary. The country grew, social development accelerated, and the quality of life improved.
The symbolic climax of the era was the millennium year of 1896. In terms of Győr, the exhibition gives an insight into this lost age - for a sustained moment.
