The exhibition opening in the Iron Stump House in Győr, which houses the horseshoe collection, selects from the oeuvre of Péter Stefanovits, winner of the Munkácsy Prize, Merited Artist. There are no major era or style changes in more than four decades of work. The order of form and specific stylistic features, as well as symbol and symbol systems, created from the 1980s, created a characterful, individual creative world, which is mostly characterized by playfulness, an ironic-grotesque tone and an emblematic concise phrasing focusing on one motif. His graphics are usually made with mixed techniques, while his paintings are often enriched with applications. A human figure appears relatively rarely in his works. His favorite themes are the elements of nature and the material world, which, taken out of their original environment, gain a new meaning and identity.
