In 1974, the permanent exhibition of the Győr-born ceramic artist Margit Kovács was completed in the attic of the Kreszta House with the active participation and guidance of the artist. It reminded him of the "Sufni" studio in Budapest offered for the purpose of the permanent exhibition. Thus, after his collection exhibition in Győr in 1973, he offered dozens of works to his hometown.

In 1982, the exhibition was expanded with the deposit material of the Margit Kovács Museum in Szentendre on the floor of the building. The exhibition, rearranged in 2022, also focuses more on sacred-themed works than before, as the artist made most of his large-scale works on church orders, but the exhibition and cultural policy of the 1970s and 1980s did not allow them to be presented. At the renewed permanent exhibition, this significant part of the oeuvre was presented in a separate room, emphatically. It was centered on the Triptych of the Holy Family, made in 1937, owned by the Catholic parish in Kisbér and restored by the museum, which is surrounded by important events in the life of Christ in accordance with the church holidays.

With the support of the National Cultural Fund and the Ágoston Kubinyi Program, from the loan of the Ferenczy Museum Center in Szentendre, our permanent exhibition is a representative selection presenting the entire creative career, worthy of the reputation of one of the best-known and most popular Hungarian ceramic artists, Margit Kovács Kossuth Prize winner, worthy and excellent artist.
