Fruhmann House
In his will, Antal Fruhmann (1908-1987) left his house and workshop to the János Xántus Museum in his will. The stove museum in the Fruhmann House ("The Warm of Home" Tile Stove History Exhibition) is unique in its kind. The stove workshop is available to visitors according to its original purpose, while an exhibition showing the history of the stove in Győr can be viewed in the renovated residential building.
The stoves in the newly built pavilion are the most representative pieces of the collection, which introduce the visitor to the memories of a craft with a long history, which is experiencing a renaissance again these days, which has once again come to the fore in our new, environmentally conscious age, looking for alternative energies and their use. Recalling the memory of the now vanished Mágner, Dachauer, Magyary and Fruhmann workshops is also reminder of the city's industrial and entrepreneurial traditions.
