Examining the artefacts of the Radnai collection, we explore the beauties of autumn in an experiential way. Colors and Connections • 5th -8th and 9th-10th grades

The focus of our session is human relationships and emotions, moods, and spiritual content that can be expressed in colors, which we talk about in front of the meditative landscapes of the Radnai collection. During the games and tasks, we also connect with each other, and then we examine the characters of one of István Szőnyi's work, so that we can decipher what emotions and ties lie behind the posture, movements, and facial expressions of the individual figures. The tensions between the figures are resolved in the form of a common oil pastel sketch.

From Arcadia to Zebegény • Grade 9-12

We will learn about the works of the significant creators of Hungarian art between the two world wars. By examining the typical paintings and sculptures of the artists of the Gresham Circle - József Egry, Bernáth Aurél, Jenő Elekfy, Ferenc Medgyessy, Pál Ferenczy and István Szőnyi - we approach the spiritual and state-like representation of the works of the school in Postnagybánya, the relationship between man and nature. In the museum class based on interaction and discovery, we work on the topic during group work, with the help of printed and/or digital tasks.

The occupation of the tile stove history exhibition for kindergarten students. During the session, the children learn about the role of fire and stove, the development of stoves, and pottery and stove craftsmanship.

Storytelling antiques • 1st-8th grade

What is an excavation like, what does the archaeologist do? The artefacts found during the excavations tell a lot about the lifestyle of older ages. During the session of the tile stove history exhibition, the findings that can be held help you get to know the world of the museum.

The history of the stove craft in Győr • 9-12. department

The students get to know the role of fire and stove, the variety of fuels, the development of stoves, and pottery and stove craftsmanship. The session provides an insight into the world of guilds. Through the ceramic stoves and through the material world of the craft, a profession with a long history becomes known, which conveys knowledge covering the history of style, the arts and energy carriers.
The maximum number of people in the workshop is 20 people. There is no possibility of burning clay objects.

The children discover the animal figures hiding in the exhibition by playing, singing and reciting poems. We talk about the role of animals, we also evoke their movements and voices.

What types of lines do we know? What can be the role of lines and spots in the creation? Can we express emotions with basic pictorial elements?
With the help of Miklós Borsos' ink drawings, we get to know the basic graphic elements - the point, the line, the spot - and their role in works of art.

During the session, the students will learn about Miklós Borsos' illustration activities and his literary-inspired works. They can also gain knowledge about the concept of illustration and its genre characteristics. In addition to the poems and passages of the text, my own poems are also created in connection with the works.

In the wake of the Lightning Thief • 5th -9th grade

With the students, we travel back to the world of Greek myths, which are threatened by the destruction of the Titans. The task of the Greek troops, made up of students, is to search for the stolen lightning of Zeus and thus stop the raging hordes of the enemy.
During the led role-playing, we interact with the mythological works of Miklós Borsos.

The treasures of the maze • 5-12. department

We will tour the exhibition with a museum toto and get to know the artist's work comprehensively, then process the works of Miklós Borsos in an interactive desktop board game, and learn a lot about fine art.
In order for the students to find the "treasures", i.e. the works, hidden in the passages of the continuously building and closing labyrinth, the tasks of the activation and art analysis cards must be solved cooperatively.
Recommended up to 18-20 class sizes.

We will learn about some of Miklós Borsos' plaques and the technique of making them, then we design and pour plaster plaques using various natural and artificial forms.

The need for compression and highlighting appears in the works of the sculptor Miklós Borsos. His works help to understand the formal language and what he has to say in modern Hungarian sculpture. We work on a collection that is incomparably rich in its themes, raw materials, and genres in our museum class.

A museum lesson that elaborates Margit Kovács's works of art depicting shepherds in a fairy-tale context. During the art analyses, we get to know the various shepherds, their tasks, clothing, and tools - we gain an insight into their lifestyle.

The Iron Rooster of Győr • 1st-8th grade

In the half-bastion of Győr's Turkish-era castle, children can learn about the construction of the castle, the castle battles and the famous Iron Rooster legend.

Arrabona's stone monuments • 5-12. department

The Roman stone monuments exhibited in the castle dungeon give an idea of the life of Arrabona's military camp and civil settlement. Students can learn about votive altar stones, Roman milestones, and stone sarcophagi, through which we discover the customs and beliefs of the Romans.

In groups, the students use a playful worksheet to cover the rich Roman material of the Kőtár. The instructions are used to collect various information, which eventually form a "freeing" code. In addition to the shared gaming experience, the world of Arrabona is also revealed to the students.

The fight against the end castle in Győr and the Turks • 9-12. department

In the stone gallery in the Sforza half-bastion of the Győr castle, students can learn about the history of the castle built during the Turkish era, the remaining memories. In connection with this, the students also gain an insight into the development of castle architecture and the life of the people of Végvár with the help of contemporary sources.

1. Objective memories of shepherd life in the Ethnographic Collection of the Rómer Museum
The presentation presents the typical objects of use of the different occupational layers and lifestyle of the pastoral society (whips, fokos, shepherd's hooks, knives). The ethnographic collection of the museum has preserved the richly decorated objects of pastoral art, designed for personal use.

2 . Archaeological excavations, underground antiquities
The presentation presenting the work of archaeologists shows countless tangible memories from which it can be deduced how our ancestors lived in the city for centuries.

  • The museum pedagogy programs can be requested during the school year, between Tuesdays and Fridays, during opening hours, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. every day. We welcome registrations at least two weeks before the implementation of the program by e-mail or phone.
  • We would like to draw your attention to the fact that we only hold sessions during opening hours. Furthermore, we would like to inform you that on the day of the session, in the event of a 20-minute delay of the group, we cannot ensure the implementation of the session in all cases.

For the permanent exhibitions, we provide guided tours of 45-60 minutes, in Hungarian, for the upper grades of the elementary school and for the high school age group, adults and pensioners. We recommend a museum lesson for the lower grades of the elementary school. Guided tours can be used every day, except Monday, between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. | Please inspect the guided tours of the temporary exhibitions.
