Advent in the Carmelite church
Participation fee:
Free
The Carmelite church, built between 1721 and 1725 in the Baroque style, is one of the outstanding monuments of downtown Győr. During the tour of the building, we will learn about the short history of the church, the facade and interior of the building, as well as the decorative traditions associated with the Christmas holiday circle.
In the church, as Christmas approaches, we also evoke the atmosphere of the holiday with the well-known Christmas carols.
The songs can be heard performed by Maja Borbála Pápai.
The walk is led by: art historian Fruzsina Pápai

Meeting point: from 1:45 p.m. in front of the Church of Our Lady of Carmel (Carmelita Church, Győr, Bécsi kapu tér/Aradi vértanúk útja 2.)
