exhibition opening

Honey is the oldest sweetener on humanity, and the history of gingerbread is almost as old as its use. The temporary exhibition of the Rómer Flóris Museum of Art and History, created in cooperation with the BTM Kiscelli Museum, introduces the visitor to the past of the puppet-sinking profession, offering a glimpse into the small rural workshops, the gingerbread business of the Zechmeisters and the large-scale factory of a guild master from Pest, Imre Beliczay and his descendants. After the opening ceremony, you will have the opportunity to learn about the smashing wood, you can taste the honey puppet baked based on the hundreds of years of recipes, as well as the popular soft drink of contemporary fairs, March. The gingerbread demonstration is held by Seregély Mirtill, the tasting is provided by Pannonhalmi Gold & Cake.
